We had an invitation (paid for it...) to visit with a Nubian family. They showed us their house, their pet crocodiles, some of their handmade crafts, and Marian received a henna painting on her arms by the host's wife. We then walked around in the village where people were selling stuff, camels running through, and the occasional car was passing by. We ended up in a classroom learning arabic and then had to hurry back to catch our sleeping train back to Cairo.
