The variation and colorfulness of the Souq (market) is beautiful. A lot of stuff is crammed into very small spaces sometimes. The little bookstore sells mainly Korans. The picture below left is a shop just selling the belts the men wear with their big knifes in it. This shop only sells the belts, other shops sell the knives (bottom left). In some of the shops you can see these items being made. There is an area with only wood-working shops. They're making doors, windows, frames, etc.
When you come out of the more enclosed areas, the streets are still filled with market vendors selling many different things.
All the women here wear the black robes, abaya's, but under it they wear a great variety of very colorful clothes and fabrics.
